Reflections on Day 1 & 2 - Sally

A warm welcome to the reserve from artists and conservation team, our home for 3 days!

A conversation about triangulation in relation to Tinka's work echoes a description of gathering data on butterflies in the wildflower meadows, 3 foot in front of the body, 3 foot behind, 3 foot to either side.  This positioning in relation to points of reference is a recurring theme in our conversations about place/boundaries/identity.

I am also fascinated by this awareness of space and time, how often do we think of what is three feet behind us?
