I am finding connections -themes and ideas that link the objects from the museum to the Oxford Island site. The labelling from Anna Atkins cyanotypes fascinates me -naming, cataloguing.
They are also examples of beautiful calligraphy. Text has been jumping out at me from the museum objects as well. So words and text will be part of my work. The forms are emerging too.
I have also had some great exchanges with members of the museum services team and the conservation, education and activities team. I'm looking forward to finding more links.
